The second 16-pound hammer-throw competition of the season was held on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. J. C. Jones 1L., scratch, won the first place with a throw of 130 ft., 6 in.; and E. H. Ruch '10, scratch, was second with 125 ft., 7 1-4 in. In an exhibition throw H. E. Kersburg '07 did 149 ft., 1-2 in.
