The trial matches for the University tennis team played yesterday on Jarvis Field resulted as follows: R. H. Eggleston '09 defeated R. H. Smith '10, by default; F. A. B. Washburn '09 defeated S. F. Kimball '09, 6-1, 6-4; R. M. Gardiner '09 defeated G. D. Howie '11, 6-0, 6-1; E. W. Ellis '11 defeated V. P. Kennard '09, 12-10, 6-0; F. H. Hall '10 defeated P. T. Large '10, 7-5, 1-6, 6-3; E. M. Ach '11 defeated F. F. A. Pearson '11, 6-3, 6-8, 8-6; H. Nickerson '11 defeated J. R. Tunis '11, by default; G. C. Adams '10 defeated C. A. Chase '11, 6-0, 6-3; E. L. Beard '10 defeated H. W. H. Powel '09, 6-2, 6-1.

All matches must be played on Jarvis Field at 2.30 o'clock unless otherwise arranged. Scores must be left in the CRIMSON Office before 7 o'clock. Men who are defeated are not necessarily dropped, and should watch the CRIMSON for further notice.
