In view of the good precedent established by the present Junior class in the matter of a pop night, it seems a shame that the present Sophomore class should have done its part so poorly. Last year nearly 350 attended, as opposed to a paltry 110 last night. Considering that these gatherings have supplanted the regular large class dinners, and hence occupy the position of the only function in which the class as a whole participates throughout the entire year, the falling off is lamentable. The playing of the Salem Cadet Band, and several clever vaudeville acts provided through the courtesy of Mr. A. P. Keith '01, afforded a delightful entertainment to the few Sophomores who did attend. It seems a pity that the other five-sixths failed to avail themselves of this their one opportunity for social reunion.
