Hammer-Throw Well Contested

The first practice handicap hammer-throw contest of the season was held under the supervision of Coach Quinn on Soldiers Field yesterday afternoon. Although only eight men entered, the match was well contested. E.H. Ruch '10 won from scratch with a throw of 126 feet 1 inch. W.M. Parker '12 and R.L. Groves '10 won second and third places with 10-feet and 15-feet handicaps respectively.
