Rev. Lyman Abbott, preacher to the University, will address the Menorah Society in the Parlor of Phillips Brooks House this evening at 8 o'clock. He will speak on "The Political Institutions of the Ancient Hebrews." The lecture will be open to all members of the University.
Dr. Abbott was graduated from New York University in 1853, and was ordained as a Congregational minister in 1860. He is editor-in-chief of the Outlook, and has been engaged in other editorial work. He is also the author of "Jesus of Nazareth," "Illustrated Commentary on the New Testament," "The Life of Christ," "Life and Letters of Paul," "The Personality of God," and many other books relating to the life of Christ.
