The University swimming team last the dual meet with Princeton at Princeton on Saturday evening by the score of 30 to 23. The water-polo team was also defeated by 1 to 0. R. W. Cutler '11 was easily the best performer in the meet, winning the 100 and 220-yard races, and swimming second to E. E. Denniston of Princeton in the 50-yard event.

The relay race was the most exciting event of the evening as it was not only close but also decided the outcome of the meet. Each man swam 200 yards, and when the last relay began Princeton had a scant two-yard lead. Cutler, last man for Harvard, crept up on Chambers of Princeton until he was almost even, yet Chambers managed to finish a few inches ahead.

J. W. Chambers and E. E. Denniston swam exceptionally well for Princeton and L. T. Parke gave a very pretty exhibition of fancy diving. The water-polo teams were evenly matched; the only goal was scored during the first half by Princeton's captain, F. C. Bamman.
