THE HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIP.

Before the next issue of the CRIMSON appears, the University hockey team will have played the two most important games on its schedule. Tonight comes the annual contest with Yale, always exciting and always hard-fought, and on Monday the postponed game with Dartmouth which may decide the championship.

The University team has gone through the season with a remarkable record. During the Christmas recess an excellent showing was made in New York, and since that time one victory has followed another. Experienced teams from Canada have been beaten by a team which considers itself fortunate if there is good ice every other day. It is not generally realized how successful hockey has been at Harvard, but in a list of over 75 games played since the sport was established here, there have been only eight defeats.

We hope that the strain of playing two such important games in three days will not prevent the team's bringing the championship back to Cambridge.
