Mr. Edgar H. Wells '97, Secretary for Appointments, and general secretary of the Alumni Association, left Cambridge last night for new York, whence he will sail this afternoon on board the "Adriatic" for Europe. Stopping for a short time in London, he will continue by boat to Cairo, Egypt, and from there will journey for some distance up the Nile valley. On the return trip he will stop in Paris, and probably will spend several days further in London. The trip is intended primarily as a vacation for Mr. Wells. He is expected to return to the University about the last of February. During his absence his assistants will continue his work at the Appointments Office.
