Hard Practice for Hockey Team

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The University hockey team held a long hard practice yesterday afternoon on Hammond's Pond, Chestnut Hill. The ice was in perfect condition and the practice was on the whole satisfactory.

At first the squad was divided up into three sections and the forwards in sets of four sent down against the defence. Following this, the University forwards, with a provisional defence, played a long game with the second team in which the former scored five goals to the second's two. In this game the defence on both sides was strong and succeeded fairly well in breaking up the opposing attack.

The line-ups were as follows: UNIVERSITY TEAM.  SECOND TEAM. Gardner, l.e.  r.e., Pratt Hicks, l.c.  r.c., Kirkland, Whidden Duncan, Kirkland, r.c.  l.c., Elliot Hornblower, r.e.  l.e., Friede Paul, c.p.  c.p., Foster Parker, p.  p., Blackall Fahnestock, g.  g., Browne, Smart
