The cup offered by the Athletic Association for the winner of the greatest number of points in the two handicap competitions in throwing the 45-pound weight was won by P. D. Turner '09, with a score of 8 points. The results of yesterday's competition were as follows: first, J. C. Jones '09, 2 feet handicap, distance, 33 feet, 7 1-2 inches; second, P. D. Turner '09, 2 feet handicap, distance, 32 feet, 9 inches; third, C. C. Little '10, 4 feet handicap, distance, 32 feet, 3 inches.
The final competition in putting the 16-pound shot will be held in the Cage at 4 o'clock this afternoon. The following men have been entered: B. T. Stephenson, Jr., '08, scratch; L. W. Bangs '08, 1 foot handicap; C. C. Little '10, 1 foot; L. Flanders '11, 5 feet; H. L. Goddard '11, 5 feet; C. E. Dunlap '11, 6 feet; J. W. McGuire '11, 6 feet. Additional entries may be made with Coach Quinn at the Cage.
