SECOND SCORED TOUCHDOWN

In Hard Scrimmage in Secret Practice.--First Team Scored 4 Times.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

During the secret football practice in the Stadium yesterday afternoon, the first and second teams had a long, hard scrimmage. Aided by a fumbled punt and a pretty forward pass to Crowley, the second team was able to score on the first, a feat which has been accomplished only once before this season. However, the first team came back very hard and scored four times on the second, plunging straight through the line on the old fashioned plays. The second team used Cornell formations almost entirely, and these plays are being used to prepare the team for the game on Saturday.

G. G. Browne and McKay were both on the side lines, though neither was dressed to play. Perkins was given a lay off on account of a slightly twisted knee, but will be in the game within a day or so.

The scrimmage was long and hard, the second team playing together exceptionally well, and making the first team work for every gain. Minot was sent over the line twice, P. D. Smith and Frothingham made the other touchdowns. Corbett was in the line-up during signal practice but did not go into the scrimmage. Coach Campbell was dressed in football clothes and spent a long time with each of the ends.

The first team substitutes went through signal practice, but held no scrimmage.

The Cornell game tomorrow will start at 2.30 instead of at 2 o'clock, as formerly announced.
