Meeting to Organize Cavalry Troop

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

There will be a meeting of all members of the University interested in forming a cavalry troop in the Massachusetts Volunteer Militia in the Assembly Room of the Union this evening at 8 o'clock. The preliminary arrangements regarding the organization have been made with the State officials, and it has been ascertained that if enough men enlist, the State will provide the necessary horses.

Unmounted drill will be held regularly in Cambridge, and mounted drill at the Park Riding School in Boston. It is planned that for the first year at least, no heavy expenses will be incurred.
