The fifth annual scratch Freshman track meet will be held on Soldiers Field this afternoon at 4 o'clock. Sixty-three entries have been made, a decrease of eight from last year. No one will be allowed to compete who has not taken a strength test. Cups will be given to the winners of first and second places in each event. There will be no charge for admission.
Order of Events.
Following is the order of events:
TRACK EVENTS.
4.00--120-yard high hurdles, trials.
4.10--100-yard dash, trials.
4.20--880-yard run.
4.25--120-yard high hurdles, finals.
4.30--100-yard dash, finals.
4.40--One-mile run.
4.50--440-yard run.
5.00--120-yard low hurdles.
FIELD EVENTS.
4.00--Running high jump.
4.00--12-pound shot-put.
4.00--Pole-vault.
4.20--Running broad jump.
4.40--12-pound hammer-throw.
Each event will be run promptly on scheduled time and, as the track is behind the Stadium at some distance from the Locker Building, contestants should leave the building in time to be at the track promptly when their event is called. No event will be delayed for late arrivals.
