Open Meeting of Dramatic Club at 9

The Harvard Dramatic Club will hold a meeting this evening at 9 o'clock in the Assembly Room of the Union, which will be open to all members of the University interested in the drama. Because of the lecture in the Living Room the hour has been changed from 8 to 9 o'clock. Professor G. P. Baker '87 will speak on behalf of the Graduate Committee, and E. T. E. Hunt '10, president of the club, will outline the plans for the year.

The manuscripts of the plays submitted for the competition this fall are now in the hands of the Graduate Committee. Six plays are under consideration, one of which will be chosen. Besides the long play, the club intends to present a series of one-act plays throughout the year, plans for which will be announced at the meeting.

Besides the production of original plays by undergraduates and recent graduates of the University, the club offers opportunities for men interested in acting, stage managing and the business side of the theatre.

Last year the club was very successful which was due in a large measure to the interest and encouragement of Professor Baker '87, and the influence of English 47, Professor Baker's course on dramatic technique.

The open meeting tonight will be followed by a short business meeting of the club.
