At a meeting of the Freshman class held last evening in Upper Massachusetts, the following officers were elected for the year: president, Gordon Henry Balch, of Laramie, Wyo,; vice-president, Randall Clifford, of New Bedford, Mass.; secretary-treasurer, Henry Curtis Dewey, of Memphis, Tenn. The total number of votes cast was 352.
The candidates for president on the first ballot were L. D. Smith, R. Fisher, and G. H. Balch. On the final ballot Balch received 181 votes to 171 for Fisher. The nominees for vice-president were E. P. Felker, R. Clifford, P. S. Durfee, and J. Knapp. For secretary-treasurer the names voted on were those of A. B. See, H. de Windt, C. Dewey, R. Dwyer, T. E. Buckman, and H. L. Groves.
