The University rifle championship tournament will begin this evening with the regular Friday shoot of the Rifle and Pistol Club in the baseball cage at 7.30 o'clock. The contest will be open to all members of the University, and entries may be made at the cage. The shooting for the revolver championship will begin Monday evening. Both competitions will be decided upon the scores of 10 strings of 10 shots each, to be made before the April recess. Revolver and rifle practice will be held in the baseball cage on Mondays and Fridays respectively until the end of the season, and shooting for both championships must be done on these days.
In the annual scratch novice shoots held recently G. L. Cutting '09 won the revolver and J. Murdoch '11 the rifle event. Two scratch medals put up for competition were won by G. L. Cutting '09. A handicap rifle medal offered last month was won by H. M. Brooks '11.
