Walter LeGrand Gifford '07.

Walter LeGrand Gifford '07 died at his home in North East, Md., last Friday of inflammatory rheumatism. Gifford was a member of the Delta Upsilon fraternity and during the past year has made a number of contributions to the Monthly.

Edward Leighton Fanshawe.

Edward Leighton Fanshawe '07 of New York, died of erysipelas last Friday at Santa Barbara, Cal., while on a trip around the world with three friends. He received a slight injury at sea which later caused his death.

Fanshawe was born at Deadwood, S. D., July 27, 1883, and entered the University from St. Paul's School where he played on the school football team. He was a member of the Institute of 1770 and the Alpha Delta Phi.
