Charles Harrington '78.

Charles Harrington '78, Professor of Hygiene, died at Lynton, England, on September 11, at the age of 53. He received the degree of M.D. from the Medical School in 1881 and became an assistant in chemistry there in 1883. In 1885 he became instructor in hygiene, in 1888 instructor in materia medica, in 1898 professor of hygiene. Since 1904 he had been secretary of the Massachusetts State Board of Health.

William Otis Smith '11.

William Otis Smith '11, of Washington, D. C., died of scarlet fever at the Still-man Infirmary, on June 19. He entered Harvard from St. Mark's School and last year played on the second Freshman football team:
