Unanimously Elected Yesterday-Three Years' Experience as Hurdler.

William McNear Rand '09, of Watertown, Mass., was yesterday unanimously elected captain of the University track team for next year.

Rand prepared for College at Phillips Exeter Academy, where he was a member of the track team for two years. He won his "H" in his Freshman year, tieing for third place in the 120-yard hurdles against Yale. Last year in the dual games with Yale he won both the 120-yard and the 220-yard hurdles, In the dual meet this year he was a close second in the 120-yards hurdles, which was won in the record time of 15 1-5 seconds.
