L. V. Howe was yesterday elected captain of the Yale track team for 1909. In the dual meet this year he won third place in the 120-yard hurdles and second in the 220-yard hurdles. In the intercollegiates he secured first in the high and fourth in the low hurdles. Last year he won second in the low hurdles against Harvard.
