Scrimmage in Football Practice

The University football squad had its first scrimmage of the spring practice this afternoon. After a little preliminary signal practice and tackling the dummy the teams captained by Fish and Kennard, and those by Cutting and Brown lined up and played short ten or twelve minute periods, the ball changing hands frequently. Some of the new plays were tried out, but more stress was laid upon individual playing than on the general team work.
