The University Chess Club will hold a novice tournament beginning Friday in the Union. The tournament will be open to all undergraduates of the University who have not played in any intercollegiate chess match. Two days will be allowed for each round and the winner will be determined by elimination. Cups for first and second places will be awarded and there will be no entrance fee.
Entries must be made in the blue-books placed at the Union and Leavitt & Peirce's before 6 o'clock Thursday.
