The University lacrosse team will play its second Northern Intercollegiate League game of the season with Columbia on south Field, New York, this afternoon at 4 o'clock.
The Columbia team has been improving steadily since its defeats in early league games by Hobart, 10 to 2, and by Cornell, 13 to 1. The University team has had a more successful season this year than they have had for several years. In the first league game played last Friday with Cornell, which Harvard won after an extra period of play by a score of 15 to 11, the team displayed a swift and varied attack and a strong and effective defense.
The Harvard line-up will be as follows: Furber, i.h.; Cobb, O.H.; Sheip, 1a.; Smith, 2a.; Vance, 3a.; Alexander, c.; Downer, 3d.; Wentworth, 2d.; Cochrane, 1d.; Thompson, c.p.; Crandall, p.; Goepper, g.
