Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The regular season of 1908 for the University baseball team will open on Wednesday with a game with Wesleyan. Last year the cold weather prevented this game. Three more games will be held in Cambridge before the Southern trip, which includes three games, two with Annapolis and one with Georgetown, during vacation week.
It may be said candidly that the season has begun auspiciously for the team, as all of the last year's infield outfield with the exception of Captain Dexter are out. There are also several very good substitutes available. McCall has practically recovered from the injury to his ankle, and should soon be able to play his old game at second and Currier's finger is not expected to his hinder his playing much longer.
Since the men were called out in February, practice has been held in the Cage regularly, until about two weeks ago, when the squad went out doors for the first time. The men have shown steady improvement, and play a good game in the field for so early in the season, although the batting still continues rather weak. The pitches are developing, but with warmer weather should advance more rapidly.
The past week has been too cold for good practice, except on Wednesday, when a nine-inning game was played. Both teams were fast in the field and played errorless ball, but at bat only secured nine hits. The coming games should operate in strengthening the team in the latter department.
