Quarter Mile Handicap Trials at 4

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The trials for the 440-yard handicap competition for the possession of the Wells cup for one year will be held in the Stadium this afternoon at 4 o'clock. This competition was formerly run off in the spring handicap games, but is held separately this year in order to give Coach Lathrop one more opportunity to pick the best men in this event. For this reason the 440-yard run in the handicap games will be scratch this year. The Wells cup has been held the past year by H. Watson '10. The final heats will be held Saturday at 3 o'clock.

Of the 57 entries 25 have had no permits from Dr. Sargent and will not be allowed to compete unless they get them before the competition today.
