WESTERN SODALITY TOUR

The Pierian Sodality will start tomorrow evening on the longest trip ever undertaken by that organization during the 100 years of its existence. An extensive program has been prepared, including four concerts, in Syracuse, Manlius, Oswego and Rochester, and several receptions, teas, and dances. About 50 men will be taken on the trip, with practically the same proportion of instruments as used in the spring concert, and they will return to Cambridge on Friday afternoon. The main purpose of the trip is to arouse interest among the graduates in these different cities in the musical activities at Harvard.

The men will leave the South Station at about 7 o'clock tomorrow evening, arriving in Syracuse Monday morning in time for breakfast. During the forenoon there will be a rehearsal and after lunch a reception under the auspices of the Syracuse Harvard Club at the home of Mr. Krauss. The Syracuse Harvard Club has made arrangements for the distribution of the members of the orchestra among the residents of Syracuse, who will provide for their entertainment during their stay in Syracuse. The concert in the evening will be held at the Alhambra and will immediately precede the annual ball given for the benefit of the Syracuse Boys' Club to which the members of the orchestra are invited. On Tuesday evening the Syracuse Harvard Club has arranged for a light concert to be given at the St. John's Military School in Manlius, just outside of Syracuse. The sodality will leave Syracuse Wednesday noon for Oswego, where they will be given a tea in the afternoon by L. W. Mott '96, who has charge of the Oswego arrangements. The evening concert will be rendered at the Richardson Theatre and the orchestra will stop at the Hotel Redstone. On Thursday noon the men will take the train for Rochester, arriving there in time to attend a reception in their honor at the University of Rochester. The arrangements in Rochester are in the hands of Mr. A. St. Milinowski '04, a former leader of the sodality. The evening concert will be given in the University of Rochester gymnasium and will be followed by dancing. Directly after the dance a special sleeping car will be taken for Boston, where the members will arrive at about 4 o'clock Friday.
