Relay Teams for Track Carnival Chosen.--Officials for Meet Announced.

The dormitory relay teams for the track carnival on Saturday were chosen last night. Two teams will race in every heat except one in which three will race, and the three teams making the best times will compete together in the finals. The teams, with substitutes, are made up as follows, and will race in the order named:

The fastest time made in the trials for the two laps, or 260 yards on the board track, was 31 1-5 seconds by E. K. Merrihew '10, who holds the record of 29 1-5 seconds, made last year. 600 entries have been made in all events, showing an increase of 200 over last year. The 20-yard dash is the most popular event, having an entry of 78. The cross-country run, the 15-yard hurdle race for men who have never started in a hurdle race, and the three-legged race all have a large number of entries.

Cups will be awarded to the winners of first, second, and third places, respectively, in each event. 59 cups have been purchased by the management and will be put on exhibition in Leavitt & Peirce's window
