Seniors Barely Won Class Shoot

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

By the close margin of three birds, the Seniors won the interclass shoot on Soldiers Field Saturday. Before the last string was shot, the Sophomores led by 4 points, but the Seniors made good scores on the last round and won, 181 to the Sophomores' 178. The Juniors and Freshmen were tied for third place at 161. Each man shot at 50 birds, in strings of 25; and Brooks and Pearson were high men, with 41 apiece.

The score:

1908--Carpenter 36, Cushman 32, Inches 37, Kissel 40, Wigglesworth 36, total 181.

1909--Brooks 41, Ford 32, Gilman 32, Primley 27, Watson 29; total 161.

1910--Brewer 40, Cobb 32, Hauthaway 40, Higginson 37, Mather 29; total 178.

1911--Ayer 31, Hayes 26, Pearson 41, Shaw 37, Storer 26; total 161.

Unusual interest has been taken in shooting this year, as over fifty men have been using the traps. All the men who shot on the University team last fall are eligible this spring and are practicing under the direction of Mr. R. Faye, of the B. A. A. team.

The schedule is as follows:

Apr. 4--B. A. A. at Riverside.

Apr. 11--Princeton at Princeton.

May 2--B. A. A. at Riverside.

May 9--Intercollegiate shoot at Riverside.

May 16--Norfolk Country Club at Cambridge.

May 23--Yale at New Haven.
