The Sophomore class has made a radical departure from the practices of its predecessors, and will substitute a pop-night in the Union for the annual class dinner. Class functions of any kind are useful as a means of bringing the scattered cohorts together; and if properly conducted and largely supported, are among the pleasantest features of a class's career. A pop-night undoubtedly has some advantages over a dinner,--chiefly in the avoidance of all publicity. Whichever way the preference lies, a pop-night was the choice, and it is for 1910 to make tonight's affair a big success.
