The University swimming team closed very successful New York trip Saturday evening by easily winning from the College of the City of New York swimmers by the score of 35 to 13, after defeating Columbia Friday evening 27 to 26.

P. Withington '09 was the star of both meets, winning the 50, 100 and 220-yard swims in fast time and finishing exceptionally strong in the relays, well ahead of McKinlay of Columbia and Kohn of the C. C. N. Y. team. His time of 1 minute in the 100-yard swim against Columbia is exceptionally fast and established a new record for the Morningside tank, as did also his performance in the 50 and 220-yard swims. The water polo team lost both games; it was overwhelmed by Columbia by the score of 7 to 0, and defeated by the C. C. N. Y. team, 2 to 1, in a close game requiring an extra period to decide it. The relay team won both its races handily.
