The new plan for running Memorial Hall has been adopted by a smaller majority than we expected, due probably to the fact that many men do not realize the temporary nature of the present $3 guarantee, which was offered to preserve the stability of the hall while a better system was being inaugurated. However this may be, the scheme was adopted by a substantial margin, and deserves all support for the month of march, if the trial is to be a fair one. There are many men, not now enrolled as members, to whom a transient membership should be a great convenience, and many more who will be attracted by the low cost of regular board now assured. To those who have studied the scheme carefully, its rational provisions for all classes of members leave no doubt of its deserved success.
