The University basketball team will play Holy Cross in the ninth game of its schedule at 8 o'clock this evening in Mechanics Hall, Worcester. Of the eight games played, Harvard has won three and lost five, having been defeated by Holy Cross on January 13 by the score of 20 to 16. Although the team was beaten by Williams last Saturday, it has since shown distinct improvement. Allen, whose knee was hurt in the Yale game, will not be able to play. Captain Brooks, owing to his excellent shooting in the Williams game, has been shifted from guard to forward. The Holy Cross team, which has not been defeated on its own floor this season, is the strongest that has represented the college for several years.
