The University fencing squad will begin its regular practice in the old Trophy Room of the Hemenway Gymnasium this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock, under the instruction of M. Pierre Pianelli, the fencing-master of the Boston Athletic Association. Beginning with today practice will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3.30 to 6 o'clock. In order to create greater interest and to develop new material, novice tournaments for medals will be held during the season once in every two-weeks, in addition to the usual novice, scrub, and interclass tourneys. These latter will take place in February and March, and in each cups will be awarded the winners.
