Individual Coaching for Crew Men

Beginning tomorrow, Coach Wray will be at the University boat-house on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons from 3 to 5 o'clock from now until the regular spring call for men is issued, to assist in coaching inexperienced men. This opportunity for extra coaching before the active season begins is extremely valuable, and it is especially hoped that all Freshmen who find it possible to report regularly will do so. The men who have been taken up from the graded crews will also find it of great importance to receive as much individual instruction as possible before work by crews begins.

Organized rowing has been postponed this year in order that nothing may interfere with the college work of the men who intend to row in the spring. The regular call for men for both University and Freshman squads will be issued immediately after the mid-year period, and rowing will begin on Tuesday February 11. The work will be confined to the machines and the tank until the weather permits of going out on the river. In addition to the men who composed the University trials eights last fall, seven men, chosen from the graded crews, will be taken up to the University squad.
