New Half-Course on Education

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

The division will offer during the second half-year an additional half-course, Education 6, on "Froebel's Philosophy of Education," by Mr. H. W. Holmes.

The method of the course will be constructive rather than historical. Although the general view-point will be technical, educational problems will be treated from a non-professional stand-point. Froebel's theories reflect closely the tendencies of the romantic movement, and lead to the consideration of the work of Carlyle, Ruskin, Emerson, Novalis, Schelling, Goethe, and Schiller.
