The third annual gymnastic tournament will be given under the auspices of the University gymnastic team in the Hemenway Gymnasium at 8 o'clock this evening. The meet, which is given for the purpose of stimulating a general interest in gymnastics, will be open to any member of the University who has never won his gymnastic insignia or any prize in competition.
A silver cup has been offered by the gymnastic instructor, C. L. Schrader, for the all-round championship of the novice tournament, and either cups or medals will be awarded for first place in each of the events, which will be as follows: parallel bars, horizontal bar, flying rings, tumbling, club swinging, and side-horse. Entries may be made today on the bulletin board in the Gymnasium without fee.
The judges will be: C. B. Lewis, instructor in gymnastics at Tufts College; W. A. Forbush '07; E. Barrier, instructor in Gymnastics in Hyde Park School; and L. Mason, physical director of the new Brookline Physical Gymnasium.
