Entries for the annual indoor handicap meet of the Boston Athletic Association, which will be held in Mechanics' Hall on February 1, close today with G. B. Billings, chairman of that B. A. A. athletic committee.
Relay races have been arranged between the following colleges and clubs: Harvard and Yale, Harvard Senior, Junior, and Sophomore teams; Harvard and Yale freshmen; University of Pennsylvania, Cornell, and Dartmouth; Williams, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Wesleyan; Syracuse and Columbia; Amherst and Brown; Holy Cross and Boston University; Boston Athletic Association, New York Athletic Club, and Chicago Athletic Club.
The events will be as follows: Two-mile run, scratch; invitation 40-yard dash, scratch; putting 12-pound shot, scratch; 440-yard run, novice; one-mile run, 60-yard limit; 1,000-yard run, 50-yard limit; 600-yard dash, 30-yard limit; 40-yard dash, 9-foot limit; 45-yard high hurdle race, 3 flights, 3 feet, 6 inches high, 9-foot limit; putting 16-pound shot, 6-foot limit; high-jump, 6-inch limit. Competitors must show that they have put the 16-pound shot 38 feet and high-jumped 5 feet, 3 inches, in competition in order to qualify for these events.
