The University Engineering Camp on Squam Lake, New Hampshire, will open this summer on Thursday, June 20, and will last until Wednesday, September 4. No entrance examinations are required. The courses in surveying, however, require a knowledge of trigonometry. All courses may be counted towards the degree of A.B. or S. B. Non-members of the University will be given a certificate; and to such of these students as may subsequently enter the University in regular standing, proper credit will be given. The charges to members of the University for the following courses, which will be given, are as follows: Engineering 4a, Plane Surveying, a full course beginning on June 20 and continuing six weeks, $55; Engineering 4d, Railroad Surveying, a full course beginning on August 1 and continuing five weeks, $47.50; Engineering 4c, Geodetic Surveying, a half-course beginning on August 1 and continuing three weeks, $27.50; Engineering 5b, Elementary Statics, a half-course beginning on June 20 and continuing three weeks, $42.50; Engineering 5d, Resistance of Materials, a half-course beginning on July 11 and continuing three weeks, $42.50. Engineering 5e, Elementary Kinematics and Kinetics, a half-course beginning on July 11 and continuing three weeks, $42.50. An additional charge for surveying courses is made for students who are not members of the University and for students of the University not in regular standing.
All students who desire to take courses at the Camp, whether elective or prescribed, should register at Pierce 114 on Wednesday. Registration cards, a special descriptive pamphlet, "Courses of Instruction at the Engineering Camp", or additional information or advice, may be obtained at University 2 or from Professor H. J. Hughes, Pierce 114, any time previous to that date.
