The Freshman crew, which will represent the University in the American Henley Regatta at Philadelphia, tomorrow, left at 8 o'clock last night by way of the Federal express for Philadelphia, where they will arrive early this morning. While in Philadelphia, the crew, accompanied by Coach Stephenson and Manager Morgan, will stay at the Aldine Hotel. Waid, who has rowed in both the first and second eights, went along as a substitute. The shell was sent ahead on Wednesday. The crew has been entered in the race for Junior collegiate eight-oared shells for the New England Challenge Cup. The men will return to Cambridge on Sunday.
