Freshmen Won at Middlesex

The Freshman baseball team won a listless game from Middlesex, at Concord, last Saturday afternoon by the score of 3 to 2. Lanigan's pitching was not as good as in the Stone's game, but at the bat he got three hits, one of which was a two-bagger. The hitting of the rest of the team against a rather poor pitcher was not nearly as good as it should have been, although ten hits were made.

The Freshmen scored first in the fourth inning, when Lanigan got a hit, went to second on Delano's sacrifice, took third on Fosters hit, and came home on Pond's single. They scored again in the eighth, when Hall got a hit, and advanced to third on Lanigan's two-bagger. Both scored on Delano's single. Middlesex made both of their runs in the ninth, as a result of two bases on balls, a sacrifice, and a single.

The score by innings: Innings,  1  2  3  4  5  6  7  8  9  R.  H.  E. 1910,  0  0  0  1  0  0  0  2  0-3  10  2 Middlesex,  0  0  0  0  0  0  0  0  2-2  3  1
