The Second baseball team was defeated by Dean Academy yesterday afternoon, in a game replete with errors and heavy hitting, by the score of 18 to 11. In the third inning four bases on balls, seven errors and four base hits gave Dean eleven runs.
The Second team hit the ball well, making a total of 12 hits, two of which were two-baggers, while Dean made only eight hits.  Four of the runs made by the Second team were earned.  The defeat was directly due to the loose fielding, as 16 errors were made during the game, eight of which were credited to one player.  Withington and Little pitched for the Second team, and Porter for Dean.
