Professor W. H. Schofield '93 has been designated by the German government as Harvard visiting professor at the University of Berlin for the academic year 1907-08. Professor Schofield's term of service will fall in the first semester.

Professor Schofield received the degree of A.B. from Victoria College, Toronto, in 1889, and the degrees of A.M., and Ph.D. from the University in 1893 and 1895, respectively. He was appointed instructor in English in 1897, assistant professor in English in 1897, assistant professor in English in 1902, and professor of comparative literature in 1906, which office he now holds.
