The competition in the field events, which was postponed last Saturday owing to the poor condition of the take-offs, will be held this afternoon at 3.30 o'clock on Soldiers Field for the men named below, who are on the University track team. The object of these trials is to give the men a trying out under competition, before the meet with Yale next Saturday. The required marks in the high-jump and pole-vault have been lowered. Special cups will be awarded to the men whose performances equal the specified figures.
