NUMEROUS SHIFTS IN CREW

Three Changes in University Eight During Yesterday's Row.--The Order.

NO WRITER ATTRIBUTED

Yesterday afternoon Coach Wray spent the time experimenting with the bow three men in the University crew. When the crew started out Macdonald, who has been stroking the third crew, was put in at 8, Farley rowed 2 and Fish was put on the starboard side of the boat at bow. The crew rowed down to the Longwood bridge, where Faulkner took Macdonald's place. The boat went along more evenly, but Fish was ragged in his blade work, and did not work in well with the other men. Just below the Weld Boat Club, on the return, Faulkner was moved to bow, Fish went back to his old position at 2 and Lunt was tried on the starboard side at number 3.

The final order was: Stroke, Tappan; 7, Severance; 6, Bacon; 5, Richardson; 4, Glass; 3, Lunt; 2, Fish; bow, Faulkner; cox., Blagden.
