The keel has already been laid for the new University eight-oared shell now being built at Davy's boat shop. The boat will be built in accordance with Coach Wray's ideas, and will be somewhat longer and narrower than last year's shell. The length will be 61 feet, while the beam will be 23 inches.

The Yale boat, which is also being built at Davy's shop, will be somewhat smaller than the Harvard boat, as it is only 60 feet long and 20 inches wide.
