The Phillips Brooks House has just received as a gift from Mrs. John Cotton Brooks the working desk and chair of Phillips Brooks. The desk is an unusually large flat top oak desk and the chair is a revolving chair with a leather cushion and rattan back. The desk is to be marked with a plate bearing an inscription which will be written by Professor G. H. Palmer '64. For the present at least, both pieces of furniture will be placed in the Parlor of the Phillips Brooks House.
