At a meeting of the Rifle and Pistol Club, held at 27 Holyoke street last night, it was decided to affiliate with the National Rifle Association of America, and to endeavor to form a team to take part in the Intercollegiate Rifle Shoot to be held at Creedmore, New York, some time in June under the auspices of the Association. Each team will be composed of five men, who will each shoot two shots for sight and seven for record at ranges of 200, 300, and 500 yards.
The University Shooting Club has secured long range facilities at the Bay State Range, Wakefield, Massachusetts. Candidates will be called out early next week, when a competition will be started for a trophy offered by the National Rifle Association; the five men who make the best scores will be chosen for the match in June.
