Gift to the Philosophical Library

The Philosophical Library of Emerson Hall has received an important gift of the First Series of the Index Catalogue of the Surgeon General's office at Washington, from the New York Academy of Medicine and the Library of the College of Physicians in Philadelphia. The Second Series of the Index Catalogue, as far as published, had previously been given to the Philosophical Library by the Surgeon General's office.
