NEW YORK, March 29.--In the preliminary bouts of the intercollegiate fencing meet, held in the gymnasium of the New York Athletic Club this evening, West Point and Annapolis tied for first place with seven bouts each. The other scores were: Columbia, 6; Cornell, 5; Princeton, 4; Yale, 3; Harvard, 2; Pennsylvania, 2.
The various bouts resulted as follows: Harvard 2, Annapolis 7; West Point 7, Pennsylvania 2; West Point 5, Cornell 4; Columbia 6, Yale 3; Cornell 5, Princeton 4; Pennsylvania 6, Princeton 3.
