Man Who Managed Clients for High-End Cambridge Brothel Network Pleads Guilty
The work of the University crew yesterday was very encouraging. In a row down-stream as far as Harvard bridge and back to the boathouse, the men rowed well and showed good form.
The improvement has been more rapid during the last few days than previously, but as yet no long rows have been taken on account of the delay in getting onto the water this year. The crew has also been somewhat handicapped lately on account of the indisposition of Captain Bacon and Richardson.
The University squad has been graded into first, second, and third eights and one four-oar. The work of the University second crew was not satisfactory yesterday, as was shown in their row down-stream below Harvard bridge and back. The men found difficulty in rowing together and in keeping the boat on an even keel. Furthermore, the work individually was ragged.
The orders:
University crew--Stroke, Morgan; 7, Severance; 6, R. Bacon; 5, Faulkner; 4, Glass; 3, Tappan; 2, Fish; bow, Burchard; cox., Blagden.
Second crew--Stroke, G. Bacon; 7, Amberg; 6, Swain; 5, Burr; 4, Lunt; 3, Richardson; 2, Farley; bow, Wiggins; cox., Arnold.
Four-oar crew--Stroke, Cutler; 3, Warren; 2, Mulligan; bow, Onativia; cox., Howes.
Work of the Freshman Eights.
The work of the Freshman crew has improved slightly during the past week, but is still decidedly ragged. Yesterday there was a tendency to space poorly between strokes and the boat was unsteady.
A cut was made in the squad yesterday, and six crews were retained. Two rowed in the University boathouse and the other four were sent out on the river. The first and second crews rowed up-stream to the Brighton bridge and then back to Western avenue bridge, returning to the boathouse. The other eights also had light work.
The orders of the first two Freshman crews yesterday were as follows:
First Freshman crew--Stroke, Foster; 7, Coit; 6, Bacon; 5, Wyman; 4, Buxton; 3, Marvin; 2, McLeod; bew, Beard, cox., King.
Second Freshman crow--Stroke, Deming; 7, Morgan; 6, Waid; 5, Sargent; 4, Fish; 3, Fowler; 2, Vogel; bow, Maxwell; cox., Atkins.
