The last of the Hyde lectures on the economic history of France will be given this afternoon at 4.30 o'clock in Sanders Theatre by M le vicomte d'Avenel, on "De quoi se composient les fortunes des riches et des bourgeois d'autrefois." The lecture will be open to the public.
On Wednesday, after the seventh lecture, M. d'Avenel was made an honorary member of the Cercle Francais, and presented with a gold medal inscribed "Temoinage d'admiration an Vicomte d'Avenel."
